Teen Angst
So in high school my favorite movie was Beetle Juice. Lidia, the sand worms, that weird shrunken head guy in the waiting room.. Man I love that movie.. My second favorite movie was Edward Scissorhands, so when the very talented Seb Mesnard asked if I could do something to celebrate it's 20th anniversary, I couldn't say no. Seb is collecting all the work on this great blog here-

and he's put together an art show at The Gallery Nucleus in Alhambra. The opening reception will be on April 16th. More info here-

I've always assumed that Edward was a Cure fan. Not sure why, just sort of makes sense.

Thats great!! Brilliant illustration!! Very very clever!
I love the way you've framed him with the light in the window and The Cure albums made my day hahaha
Awesome! I love the fact that he's listening to The Cure. :)
"Plainsong" by The Cure... You appropriately spiced up this piece with a great song. Wonderful job.
So awesome man. Yeah, Beetlejuice is my favorite Tim Burton movie hands down. Especially since they died in a sweet yellow Volvo wagon. I love that house they live in too. Great cast. So good. Great drawing josh, love the Cure.
I wanted to live in that house for the longest time! I think they filmed those scenes in coneticuite.
